About Descendants of Friedrich Wilhelm Ferdinand Heise
Please sign in to see more.
I am the oldest son of Clifford and grandson of Adalbert Jr.(Art) Heise ,the last Heise descendant who lives nearby the old Heise homestead in Wind Lake ,Town of Norway,Racine Co. Wisconsin.I started this family tree with the help of the Ramthun grandchildren of Margaret Heise Ramthun. I have many blanks to fill in yet so I need family help in completing this tree.I made some contact a few years ago with the cousins in Germany but have lost the connection and am trying to re-establish it. There are many unanswered questions on the Germany side of the family. Mathilde Lindner and Adalbert Heise migrated from Germany ,met in New York state, married in Syracuse ,then moved on to Town of Lake ,Milwaukee county Wisconsin. From there they moved out to the farm in Wind Lake where the Heise family continued to farm for over 50 years. Myself and my siblings were the last Heise's to live on the farm from 1957-1959. I still drop by to check on it,as the buildings still remain but are fast deteriorating. The front house, which I lived in is no longer occupied ,the front door missing, and it's open to the elements. The original house back by the barn still stands but there are no doors or windows on it.The barn is falling off of it's foundation and someday a strong wind will push it the rest of the way. The pig house ,built by my dad with help from Bob Ramthun is still next to the barn and is in the best condition of all the buildings.
Update :In Feb 2014 the new owners had an excavator tear down all the buildings except the pig house .I went once at night to verify and have not returned since. The 2 years that I lived there were the best of my childhood. Update 2 Jan 23,2016:I have been informed that a new house is being built now to the east of where the front farmhouse stood on the property. By his description it sounds like it is in the area where the orchard was. Also a pole building has been placed where the barn stood.

In addition to the charts and reports you have Photo Albums, the Events list and the Relationships tool. Family photographs are organized in the Photo Index. Each Album's photographs are accompanied by a caption. To enlarge a photograph just click on it. Keep up with the family birthdays and anniversaries in the Events list.
